As the first image reads, I think Education is the Key.
Within these educational environments, we as young ones learn more than what we are told to read from books. From these public and private institutions, we learn what are the acceptable norms when it comes to acting out gender and sexuality. We learn the hardships of not fitting in. The younger we are the more rigid the structures and the stricter the consequences for varying. The images progress from the earliest of grade school all the way up through higher education.
